Alameda and Contra Costa Counties include many fire agencies and have a long history of fire.

• Oakland Wildfire Prevention Assessment District
• Pleasanton has a map showing their Special Fire Protection Areas
• The San Francisco Public Utility Commission manages the watershed around San Antonio Reservoir and Calaveras Reservoir located east of Fremont and Milpitas.  Their Watershed Management Plan includes a map of wildfire severity.
