Berkeley offers free curbside pick-up of chippable material and provides yard debris bins for other vegetation in many neighborhoods. Hayward provides free curbside chipping in high-risk areas, including the Fairview Fire Protection District, Hayward Hills, and Five Canyons. Moraga-Orinda Fire District offers free chipping services, free upgrades to large green waste disposal bins, and pickup for up to 14 bags of cleared vegetation (with advance scheduling).
