Interim Executive Director Announcement

Diablo Firesafe Council is happy to announce the hiring of Joelle Fraser as our Interim Executive Director as of December 1st, 2025. Holly Million, who has been the executive director for two years, is stepping down to pursue new ventures. 

Joelle has been DFSC’s Defensible Space Cost-Share Funding Project Coordinator for two years and Oakland Firesafe Council’s Firewise Lead for 3 years. She brings over 15 years of project and budget management, nonprofit operations, fundraising, and grant management experience in both her previous work at the Alameda County Office of Education and currently as the Co-Founder of IDEAL Bay Area, an education nonprofit. The Board looks forward to working with Joelle to bring continued community service to the Diablo Firesafe Council into 2026.
