Funding and assistance are available from Diablo Firesafe Council and our partners
Apply for Defensible Space Cost-Share Funding
DFSC supports a wide variety of efforts to prepare for wildfires by securing and providing funds for proven risk reduction measures.
From thinning dead trees to clearing roadways, getting fire safe often requires hiring professional services. This work may be eligible for up to $5,000 in cost-sharing assistance.
When you can’t do it all yourself, DFSC may be able to help you get the funds you need. We review applications on a quarterly basis and welcome the opportunity to help.
Update May 2025
DFSC has temporarily closed the applications for the Partners in Wildfire Prevention fuel reduction grant. No new applications can be submitted at this time. We have received a large response to the program and have limited funding to provide matches. We will reopen the application form when new funding is available. Please contact Joelle Fraser joelle@diablofiresafe.org with any questions or concerns.
